THINGS TO DO, PLACES TO EAT [PART 2] -- YOGYAKARTA

03:02:00

Hello Savory Warriors!

Today i'm gonna continue my previous post about guide to travelling around Yogyakarta.

4. Go to Candi Ijo / Candi Ratu Boko / Candi Prambanan / Candi Borobudur

In modern Indonesian language, the term candi can be translated as "temple" or similar structure, especially of Hindu and Buddhist faiths. In Yogyakarta, there's so many candi that you can find. The famous one is candi borobudur, but i didn't go to there because i only have limited time, since i already visited there when i was a little girl. So, I only visit Candi Ijo and Ratu Boko.
Candi Ijo is not big as candi Borobudur, but it's still georgeous architecture. The ticket price is free in here, there's no need to pay for anything! you can enjoy the scenery of Yogyakarta for free!

Candi Ijo

Candi Ratu Boko is an archaeological site known to modern Javanese as Kraton Ratu Boko or Ratu Boko's Palace located not far from Candi Ijo, but it's bigger candi Ijo. The ticket price is around IDR 25.000 for adult and IDR 10.000 for children but for international tourist the ticket price is IDR 100.000. But, i think it's all worth it, because they provide very beautiful archaeological site.

Opening Hours : 6AM-6PM

5. Eat at The House of Raminten
House of Raminten is the icon of Yogyakarta culinary, it's a must if you go Yogyakarta. They provide the cheapest food with a comfy place! They open 24 hours, so for who're hungry at midnight, you can go to House of Raminten. This house provide a Javanese ambience, started from the song they played, clothes that the waiters wear. The food price star from IDR 3.000- IDR 18.000. They also provide a very unique food.

The Ambience

Keripik Jamur Tiram (IDR 12.000)

Sego Ijo (IDR 8.000)

Susu Perawan Tancep (IDR 8.000)
(the glass is so unique, it's a woman breast)

The House of Raminten
Jalan FM Noto No. 7, Kotabaru, Gondokusuman, Yogyakarta
Opening Hours :
Monday-Sunday : 24 Hours

5. Eat at Raisin
This restaurant is a new cafe at Yogyakarta, focus on healty products, like smoothie bowl or known as "nalu/acai bowl". The ambience in this cafe is very comfy, and the decoration is very cute! you can see from the picture on the wall inside/outside the cafe. This place is very recomended for whoever search a nice place to hangout with friends. The Smoothie bowl price started from IDR 35.000, it's depends on toppings that you choose

Raisin Special Longan Dessert (IDR 20.000)

Smoothie Bowl (IDR 37.000)

Crispy Mushroom (IDR 15.000)

Raisin Resto & Kitchen
Jalan Sagan III no. 5, Kriten-Lor
